My Views On 'Romance' Fanfictions
I'm not saying this is for all fanfictions, that would be like saying all blondes are dumb and date males for their money or all nerds have braces and wear glasses and spend their freetime only playing Dungeons and Dragons. No. These are my views of majority of romance fanfics I've personally seen, so if you don't like my views, you don't have to.
I was watching the Graham Norton Show, and on that Graham had shown Daniel Radcliffe (who was a guest on the show for those who don't know) Graham had shown Daniel a website completely devoted to Daniel Radcliffe fanfiction. In fact, just watch the video www.youtube.com/watch?v=gsSqfA…
But I realise that I have known for a while now, especially on sites like FF.Net, a lot of hormonal teenage girls have taken to the pen. Now, I'm not saying this is bad because I've seen works from 13, 14, 15 etc year olds that have a lot of points of emotional climax and the authors show promising works, but there is also the ones I've seen that basically go like this:
The author creates a 'Mary Sue' version of themselves, take the character/celebrity and practically scream '"NOW KISS!" and so by chapter two, they basically have several children.
I will admit, I do place small parts of my personality in characters so they are easier to write for, but if I find I've made any type of Mary Sue/ Gary Stu sort of character that's basically a fairytale version of me, I'll scrap the whole story. And usually, I won't even look at the lost chapters stored on Word until I improve my writing skills.
But that's just me. A lot of the time, if the blurb sounds like it's been written by a crazed fangirl who just wanted their fantasy written down, I won't even take a second glance at the story (which I really shouldn't because blurbs can be difficult to write for people [like myself, blurb writing is not one of my strengths] and the story itself could be amazing, just the blurb a little strange)
But this is all my opinion. What do you think on the whole fanfiction thing? I want to know.

Dan Howell - despite being a hermit - is an obnoxious little shit.
This is sort of cute some times (like when he lies in the middle of the hall muttering, 'oh dear lord, I am going to die') and less cute at others (when he won't move when oh my God, Dan, just get off the floor you idiot).
"You could do with some help."
"Are you my mother?" Phil asks with a grunt, grabbing the box of Cheerios back off of him.
"You could drown."
"I could-" but then the cheerios are gone and Dan's walking back to his bedroom, hips swaying with every step.
Like I said - an obnoxious little shit.

When the doorbell rings the next day, Phil bounds up to answ

Sean waited at the cold door, praying his strongly pouding heart would settle. He watched as Mark left the small group of survivors to protect them from the remaining zombie threat. Even through a weak smile, Sean saw the fear and pain in his eyes. Mark was as scared as everyone else, but someone had to make sure it was safe. Sean's soul was shaking against his skeletal frame as he waited, his ears tuned to every sound he heard. He wanted to hear Mark's voice again, happy and laughing,

Cry looked around the empty room. Confusion filled him as he stood in the middle of the room. What was going on? The latest events just starting to register in his mind.
“This is choice room,” a voice said behind Cry causing the man to jump and spin around.
“You weren’t there a moment ago.” Cry’s blue eyes widened.
“Neither were these doors behind me. Things change.” Virus reaches up and grabbed ahold of one of strings of his white hoodie. He rolled it between his fi

I agree. I don't like reading those. They don't seem very realistic to me.
